Zeitgeist Gallery is delighted to present Caroline Allison’s Waiting between Trees, the artist’s fifth exhibition with the gallery.  

Waiting between Trees continues the artist’s ongoing photographic inquiries of time and landscape.  Included in the exhibition are portraits of primeval rocks and photographs of clouds reworked into sculptural pages that seem to have been pulled from the sky.  All of the works question our perceptions of time and scale.  Drawing inspiration from medieval books, nineteenth century portraiture, and recent images of deep space, Allison weaves together a rendering of humankind’s place in nature- and nature’s place within us.
